Our technicians are experts in every electronic component of automatic gate systems and provide comprehensive service including programming, repair, alignment, and replacement.
Remote Control Services
Gate remotes seem simple, but the technology behind them involves specific radio frequencies, rolling code encryption, and receiver programming that varies by brand and model. Common remote issues include remotes that lose range over time, which often indicates a weak battery in the remote or a failing receiver antenna on the gate operator. Intermittent operation can result from radio interference from nearby devices or a receiver that's losing sensitivity. Complete remote failure may require reprogramming or replacement of both the remote and receiver.
We carry replacement remotes and receivers for all major gate opener brands and can program them on-site. If you've lost all your remotes, we can reprogram your receiver and set up new ones. We also help with adding additional remotes to your system — perfect when a new family member starts driving or you need to provide access to regular service providers.
Photo Eye Sensors
Photo eye sensors are the primary safety device on most automatic gates. These sensors project an invisible infrared beam across the gate opening, and if anything breaks that beam while the gate is closing, the gate stops and reverses. Photo eyes can develop alignment issues from post settling, vibration, or accidental contact. They can also fail due to moisture intrusion, sun blinding, wiring damage, or component aging.
Misaligned or malfunctioning photo eyes typically cause one of two problems: the gate refuses to close because the sensor thinks something is in the way, or worse, the sensor fails to detect an actual obstruction. Both situations require immediate professional attention. We test, align, and replace photo eye sensors for all brands and ensure they meet UL 325 safety standards.
Loop Detectors
In-ground loop detectors are wire loops buried in the driveway that detect vehicles by sensing changes in electromagnetic fields. They're used to trigger gate opening for exiting vehicles, hold the gate open while a vehicle is in the path, and provide vehicle detection for safety and access control. Loop detector issues can include wire breaks from ground movement or tree root growth, detector module failures, sensitivity drift, and connector corrosion. We install new loops, repair damaged loops, replace detector modules, and calibrate sensitivity settings for reliable operation.
Edge Sensors & Other Safety Devices
Gate edge sensors, also called sensing edges, are pressure-sensitive strips mounted on the leading edge of the gate that detect contact with an obstruction. These sensors are particularly important on slide gates and swing gates where the closing force could cause injury. We install, test, and replace pneumatic, resistive, and optical edge sensors and ensure they integrate properly with your gate operator's safety circuit.
